By integrating evolutionary biology with population genetics, ecology and species distribution modeling, our lab provides actionable insights into the conservation of species and floras. As extinction rates continue to rise, conservation strategies must be predictive – anticipating which species or floras might become more vulnerable to extinction with time – rather than only protecting those that are already rare.
